Nine months, already!

B,
We love you so much. I can't believe that you're nine months old, already. Time has really flown by--this last year feels like a blur!
You are our mascot, our sidekick, our sweet tag-along. Our team is officially not complete without you in your stroller, the seat of the grocery cart or in the front pack carrier, snoozing away. You've officially stolen our hearts, and I think we are ok with that!
And everyone is chipping in these days to care for you. Your big sis Laney has taken her role very seriously, and lately has been singing to you, reading to you, trying to make you laugh and feeding you. You love being in your brother's room, where all of the cool boy stuff is and love it when Amos smiles in your direction. And in general, you like it when your siblings are around and usually want to be in the middle of all of the action.
You've also become a tad fussy too. In the past few weeks, you've come to prefer sitting shotgun on my right hip as we glide through the house. You like being up there, where you can see everything, with sweeping views of every angle. When I put you down, you immediately protest, which usually follows with me picking you up again. I know I should probably ignore you, but you're so darn cute and your scream/cry is pretty intense!
We are excited to see you learn new things, to watch you grow and become your own person. We look forward to hearing what you're smiling about, laughing at, or hopefully, the really good joke you've just though of.
Maybe next month you'll have a new tooth or will finally be crawling around on all fours, instead of just rocking back and forth. Maybe you'll have a new sign under your belt and will have expanded your tastes in food a bit more. Maybe you'll be closer to sleeping through the night???!!! (One can hope!) And just maybe, you'll have a little bit more hair, possibly the start of a toddler mullet on your sweet head. We can only watch and wait. But we will definitely continue to enjoy you in the meantime!
Love,
your Mom
