As Indy dwellers, we have the sheer delight each year to go downtown and people watch during GenCon weekend.

GenCon started in Lake Geneva, WI, in 1968 and has since moved to our fair city. It is one of the largest gaming and fantasy conventions out there and hosts a wide range of people, from wizardly types to Dungeons & Dragon types to Star Wars types, and beyond! This year, we decided to take part in the people watching since last summer, we were quite new to the whole Star Wars world.
The kids dressed up, Amos as his made-up character 'Darth Tyrranus' and Flannery, as a princess. We headed for the mall food court and had our most entertaining Chick-Fil-A dinner to date. Afterward, we walked a few city blocks and saw lots of cool characters: a group of Incredible Hulks, The Ghostbusters and finally some Star Wars characters. It was a blast, people loved Amos' costume and we had fun seeing what was out there!
