Christmas celebration #2

On Sunday morning, I woke up early with Nathan and started feeling better. My stomach flu had subsided and since the kids weren't there, I decided to get packing. We weren't sure if we were going to be able to make the drive that day to Nashville, as planned, but we thought we would prepare to do so, in case no one else got sick.
No one did get sick, so we drove south after church and made it to Aunt Christen and Uncle Aaron's house in time for dinner and presents.

The kids ran laps to get the wiggles out,
and after dinner, Amos dove right in, found his name and started unwrapping. We all got a good laugh from that!

Aunt Christen handed out gifts,

and much fun was had.

It was a real blessing to be all together this Christmas. We were especially excited to give to GrrDada Joe and GrrMe a book of their vows renewal service, with pictures and text. It was a collaborative effort and definitely topped the list of gifts that night.

Amos found the noisy boxes and...

...was excited to get a few more Lego sets to go with his Millenium Falcon.

Flannery was excited to finally have an electric toothbrush, like her big Ba-ba and happily brushed for most of the night!

She was also happy to receive her very own magna-doodle, and now, was able to play without stealing Brother's!

More happy unwrapping happened,

and Nathan was happy to receive his ukelele that had been found and repaired by his family. We were so thankful to be able to celebrate Christmas with everyone, as planned and so thankful for such sweet time together.
