Happy third anniversary to us!

This past Tuesday, August 17th, we celebrated our third year as Hoosiers.
Oddly enough, this year we "celebrated" by being with the Berends, which is who we lived with when we first arrived three years ago...

(Remember this little whipper snapper?)

(My, how they've all grown!!)

Another fitting way to "celebrate" was to go to the Indiana State Fair, which we also did on this day, last year!

(Here we are, a family of three/four depending on how you look at it!)

(This year, we have a price winning princess!)

The fair was fun, loud and energetic. We went with two other families, we tasted the finest fair foods, saw some pretty good looking chickens and rabbits and rode one ride!
After walking a few blocks from our friends' house, we arrived and paid our $2 (it was two dollar Tuesday, after all!). Another family soon joined us and we were on our way.
Our first stop was to find dinner. Dinner turned out to be a taste test of different Corn Dogs. Mine was ok, as I was mostly interested in eating "dinner!"

We then moved on to the dairy barn, where we found grilled cheese on white bread (Amos devoured it!) and a giant bowl of frozen custard. On our way out, Amos wanted a piece of pizza! (Maybe I need to cook fair food for this boy more often...one word: CALORIES!!!).

After eating, we headed to see the rabbits and chickens. Amos really liked this part and liked the Turkey chick that we found.

Lastly, it was time for a ride! Amos got to go with his buddies, Ada and Townes and his favorite daddy! Needless to say, Amos can now cross "driving a Mack truck" off his bucket list!

It was a fun night. We were exhausted when we got home, but really enjoyed being in the chaos of it all!

***Check out what Emily and Katy had to say about their fair experiences!
