This Family's Life: Fun Fridays Part 2

Last Friday we woke up (at 7:15 AM) to the sound of jackhammering in front of our house. That's right, there was a construction zone going on out there and they wanted to get an early start, seeing as how it was Friday and all. Nathan and I were not to pleased since we had had a tough week with Amos not sleeping well due to the binky removal that was taking place and he happened to still be asleep. So we wanted to still be asleep too. But we weren't and we were not very happy about that!

The whole thing was redeemed simply because Amos loved seeing the bulldozer in front of our house (and then later got to get on it and "drive" it!). We got all ready to do the Clifford sprinkler and then went out front to see the bulldozer/digger (with Clifford in tow, of course!). Amos loved looking at it--at all of its parts and wheels. After the moment was properly captured, we went back and did some sprinkling.

Pretty soon he wanted to go see the bulldozer again, so we went back out front. A few minutes later, the construction guy arrived driving a dump truck (!!!) and asked Amos if he wanted to get up on the bulldozer and drive it. Amos totally wanted to, and did not show any hesitation!

He had a blast, sitting up there, doing the pedals and the steering wheel. Then the guy dumped gravel from the bulldozer into the hole in our sidewalk, which Amos loved watching.

Amos soon went from driving the bulldozer to controling the digger, which was funny because at one point, he moved one of the gears and it made the digger go down! He was pretty much done after that, kinda freaked out that he got it to move!

We decided to go back and do the sprinkler some more and had lots of good cuddles afterward!
