Last night, Amos was frantic to find the makeshift microphone stand so he could use it while playing piano. Since the shovel was outside, recovering from its day of fun, we had to enlist the help of the rake, which probably ended up working better. Nathan figured out how to balance it on the piano and put the drumstick in the hole and tape into place so that it would function as a microphone. And it was perfect. Amos played piano for a long while, as members of our small group drifted out the door. As usual, it was scary how good Amos was, at getting the look and feel down just perfectly. He's a natural! Then it was time to move on to drumming and the tambourine. Amos figured out how to get it to stand up and loved singing into it. Have we mentioned yet that both of Amos' parents were front and center in college rock bands? So why is this all so surprising to us? :)
The bigger deal in my book was the fact that Amos had figured out how to pull himself onto and off of the piano bench. He certainly is a smart one!

You know, I don't know Amos that well, but he cracks me up! It looks like he is doing so well, and if a lively personality shows through in pictures I can only imagine what he is like in person. Hope all is well for you guys!
