Taking down the tree, SNOW and cuddles!

On Tuesday, we decided it was time to put our Christmas things away. I think we had gotten past the sadness of Christmas being over and were into the "it just doesn't feel right to have the tree up anymore" stage. So Miharu and I took down the ornaments and then Nathan and Amos took down the lights, while I disassembled the other various decorations around. I think we were quite happy with the decorating this year and I tucked those ideas away for next year.
And as usual, Amos was more than happy to help and at one point, brought in the lawnmower for clean up duty.
Afterward, Nathan and Amos had a mini-jam session.
And yesterday, (on Nathan's day off), we had snow! Amos was so stoked and was cheering very loudly for a snow walk. So after breakfast, we suited up and went out to play. Amos brought his new favorite toy, a Bic pen-top, out to play and dig with. Later, we found a sand shovel and Amos helped Nathan shovel the front walk. Lastly, we brought out the big guns: the Little Tikes mini shovel for really getting the job done. Amos was over joyed. He would have stayed out there all day, if we had let him! There were tears when it was time for lunch, but we did deliver on another snow walk, as Nathan took Amos out later for a few minutes!

When we reached the point of no warmth, we came back inside and took off the wet boots and pants. I was so excited to use my new Keen boots (thanks again, Mom and Dad!!!) and they worked great!
Amos decided it was cuddle time and found many of his stuffed animals to sit up with him and Dada. Then we put the blanket on the floor for "he he he he he he he he he he, FUN!" time with Dada and the stuffed animals, which as usual, Amos loved. We were so glad that Dada got to be home with us and that we could enjoy the snow, all together!
