So while our friends in Seattle were blanketed in snow (have I mentioned my sadness yet that they have had more snow than we have, this winter??), we were driving to TN after the Christmas Eve service in fairly mild weather. Argh!
Anyway, Christmas was wonderful. My mom is a master decorator and it was so magical to be there this year. I loved walking in and immediately feeling the warmth and love and I made sure to savor every moment. There's no place like home! (We missed you Robbins! Can't say it enough!).
We were glad that my mom left her mark, since she was off doing a homebirth when we arrived. Thankfully, the baby was born shortly after midnight on Christmas and she was able to be home with us later that morning. We all woke up late after sleeping in and had a blast hanging out, opening presents and eating more Egg & Sausage casserole! Enjoy the slideshow!
