Our Fourth of July, 2008

We spent Friday, the fourth, running errands, getting things done, and working on Nathan's sermon. That afternoon, we went to see the Neals and had fun playing and eating together. Belachew, their new son from Ethiopia, was more animated and felt more secure during this visit and even let Nathan hold him at one point. He and Amos had fun playing together and Amos liked being at the Neals' house, now that there's toys there! He also enjoyed vacuuming the kitchen and playing with the dog.
We all began to crash around the same time, so we headed home and put Amos to bed. After showering and getting into pj's, I met Nathan up in his studio and prepared to hopefully see fireworks from the window up there. Thankfully, we mostly saw them and had the best fireworks display ever, mostly due to the fact that I was restfully reclining on the futon and enjoying them from our own home!
