On Friday we went to the Arts Center for a new Art show opening that featured pieces of art and a fashion show all made from recycled objects. We had a blast and just as we were going home, we walked by an interactive painting that featured our friend Elyce as the artist's mother. She was blowing bubbles that Amos loved to POP! We made it home after such a fun time and enjoyed a Friday night movie!
On Saturday, Nathan built the little cabinet for teh bathroom, that fits over the toilet. Amos was there, ready to help with his hammer and his drill. We also did some spray painting and after half of it was done, we had to go to Lowe's for more paint. Amos was so excited to see all of the tools and drills there.
Sunday was another great day of church and napping. The boys napped for a long time, so much so that I had to wake them up around 5:30! We went up to our friend Kipp's house to mow his lawn, which Amos loved. I wanted to take him to a nearby park but he was bummed when we tried to leave Da-da and the lawn mower. We stood and watched and had lots of fun. Really, it was lots of fun.

Monday morning came and we missed Da-da. Amos has been climbing on the couch to read and play his mini elephant piano alot lately and he did it again that morning. One of his favorite books right now is the Pokey Little Puppy coloring book that has dogs, cats and ducks in it. Amos knows all of their animal sounds so he loves to read this book and point to the animals.
After we got dressed and ready for the day, Amos noticed that his new shorts has little pockets, which he enjoyed putting his hand in and walking around the room. It was so cute!
Later in the day, we walked/ran to a park 1.5 miles away and played while we waited for Nathan to meet us after work. The walk back was especially nice, with someone to walk with and then we had our Cinco de Mayo dinner, which we had simply to have a fun dinner night. I made my Mexican tostada peppers and chicken mixture recipe and then got out the special beverage of the night: Bartles and James Margarita drink, in a bottle. I figured out how to salt the glasses and added the ice and voila! a Margarita drink almost as good as from a Mexican restaurant! I also found a Mexican blanket in the basement and had a fiesta! I know we're not Mexican and all, but it's fun to have a special dinner!
