The air is slowly warming up, since our cold freeze this weekend. But slow temperature changes are what we like, as fast ones result in really bad storms, which I do not enjoy!
Today Amos and I took the car in to change the oil and have other things looked at. While we were waiting at the dealership, we walked through the showroom and then out to the lot, where Amos saw the street and lots of cars and trucks whizzing by. I figured out that those cars were really the ones he wanted to see, not the stationary ones right next to us. So we spent alot of time watching the road, with little walks around the lot, to break up the monotony. I was tiring of our fun, as watching Martha Stewart in the waiting room sounded better to me! So after nearly 45 minutes of being outside, we headed back in to the waiting room for tv and a snack. It was a good thing, too, because the technician needed to check in with me and I was glad we were around. After watching some of The Price Is Right, it was time to take the car home, with new oil, a plugged leaky tire and hungry child!
After lunch and nap, we went outside to the front porch to watch the cars vrooom by and to blow bubbles. This was Amos' first bubble-blowing experience and he loved it. The wind was blowing, so the bubbles would whirl and dance around, making Amos laugh. Soon he tried to blow, which resulted in him digesting more bubbles than blowing. All in all, it was fun!
We had Ellis over for awhile, which Amos always loves and then dinner with Da-da. At dinner time, I forced Amos to eat broccoli, as I now see that Amos is just one finicky eater. He can chew most things now, so that's no excuse. We literally have to fight his hands and turning head to get a bite in, then help him eat the rest. Now that I see what's really going on, he's getting it all! Fruits, veggies and everything in-between!
Although tonight he had a hard time going to sleep, he's been doing well in that department. Last night, he slept through, without any cough medicine. We're trying to get him off the cold meds and just do steroid breathing treatments twice a day. We're hoping that kicks the cough once and for all!
Tomorrow we head back to Franklin, for Nathan to attend a worship conference. We also get to see the Jensens, who will also be in town. We are excited for another reunion!
