The great polar blast of winter 2013-14!

It seems that we moved into our new house, last December, just in the nick of time! One of the reasons I wanted to get moved in was so that we wouldn't get caught in a snow storm, moving furniture, etc, in.
We were finally able to move into our house in mid-December and with our kitchen facing the empty yard next door, we had a great view of all of the snow storms that made their way through the midwest. There were many school closures and the mayor even shut down the city, requiring everyone to stay home, unless they were some sort of essential personnel. It was crazy to look out and see the white snow blanketing everything, with no one out driving or even playing, it was so cold!

Here are some fun pictures from our snow adventures!

We unloaded the UHaul in the snow! It was great to be home!

My first morning in our new room...I loved looking out at the snow!

 Snowman building fun!

The view from our kitchen!

Braving it into church!

Our church was beautiful, all covered with snow!

We came home from church and had a snowball fight!

On a retreat in the woods!

Sledding fun!
