Christmas was really low key for us this year. Having just moved and dealing with all of the busy-ness that the Advent season brings for Nathan, we didn't end up getting a tree, but baked gingerbread cookies in our new kitchen and looked forward to driving south after our Christmas Eve service to be with our family.
Even though it was so simplified, it was really enjoyable!
We surprised everyone and drove home after church, instead of the next morning. It was wonderful to wake up and already be there! It was a beautiful morning too, warm enough to play outside before we opened presents!
Soon after Christmas, we headed back to our new home, to continue settling in and ring in the new year. We loved spending time with both of our families and missed having the Robbins there to play with us too!
