Yep, I'm going to go back to Thanksgiving and start recapping the last few months, major events and holidays.
First is Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful time with the Robbins at our house and enjoyed what would be our last Thanksgiving in our house.
Beth and Dan arrived on Sunday night and left Monday morning for Chicago. They enjoyed a great overnight trip to celebrate their anniversary. When they got back, it was time to plan and prepare for the big meal! We shopped and prepped on Wednesday and then Thursday morning, got things going. Nathan and Dan were sweet to also move our furniture around so that the living room furniture would be in the dining room and the dining room would move to the living room. It turned out to be a great trade, as we were able to sit and watch the parade and hang out together, whether putting our feet up or cooking in the kitchen!
The older boys enjoyed riding bikes and running in the alley by our house, which was very desolate due to the holiday.
The actual dinner was hurried and crazy, and we decided that if we ever did that together again, that we would feed the kids and put them to bed so that we could enjoy all of our efforts!
It was a great time together and we will always cherish those memories!
That Friday night, after they had gone back to St Louis, we got a call that an offer on our house was coming and that we would have to re-list it. We were so surprised as we were set on settling back in to life in that house. By the end of the weekend, we would have settled on a price and would be moving forward with the sale of our house. It was hard to believe but we knew it was the right thing to do!
