Our two year old girl...

Little Flannery has been very entertaining lately. Between her antics (she is so curious and into everything!), extensive vocabulary and constant talking, there's never a dull moment around here. When Aunt Abby was getting ready to head back to TN after visiting, Flannery got ready to go with her. Abby and I looked at each other and said, why not?! She did so well with all of the attention from her aunt and grandparents. While she was gone, it was so quiet and we realized just how much noise she adds to our house!
Her vocabulary is growing and she is crafting her own language. Some of the words she's created are:
Isup (syrup--this one had all of us guessing!), wings (swing), pills (spill), lows (slow), poose (spoon) and the icing on the cake, Bay-E-Eye, (Baby Levi). As you can see, with the words that start with an s, consonant, she adds the s to the end and it's so funny when she says it, especially when she spills and is sad. Imagine her saying, "Pills...." with a frown. She also gets really excited when Levi is awake--"Bay-E-Eye away!!!" and makes sure to point out how cute he is, "Awwww, cuuuue!"
At just over two, she is learning her numbers and letters and knows red, yellow, green and blue. She can put her socks and shoes on all by herself and strives to do many things by herself, just like her big brother.
She is starting to sit on the potty, with some success and soon, will probably be transitioned out of her crib.
She is a joy and is constantly a surprise. I always say that she's2 going on 12, she's just her own little person, and walks around with confidence and purpose.
We love our little girl!
