TN fun with the family...

The week following Christmas was spent hanging out, seeing family and relaxing.

One night (maybe Christmas night?!), we dressed Abby up in her cap and gown from UTC and had her re-enact her college graduation. Since we were all stuck at home because of the great flood, we weren't able to make her graduation and were really sad to have missed it.
Mom and Dad got her diploma framed and presented it to her, complete with Dad playing the graduation song on the trumpet and Jesse reading an inspirational piece.
We clapped loudly for her to show how proud we were and enjoyed the moment of honoring all of her hard work.

Uncle Jesse got his play time in with the niece and nephews and Flannery proved to fit right in with the boys. She loved to play and wrestle with Jesse and even made up a little game with him. It was really sweet!

No visit would be complete without squeezing everyone in to the bathtub, this time, complete with goggles! On Tuesday, we went to one of those pay-to-play places, since it was cold and rainy outside. The boys found a really cool table with big rocks and dinosaurs while the rest of us explored the other fun areas.

Later on, back at the homestead...

Fun at Dragon Park:

We made it home and just before the sun set, there was some shootin'...

On New Year's Eve, Uncle Jesse came over to hang out for a bit and he and Abby taught Amos how to play cards. Amos had help, of course!

Not pictured: Amos learning to play baseball and getting really good at hitting the ball; throwing the ball for dogs and playing outside so much since the weather was so mild; grandchildren playing well (or not!) together; lots of fast and furious card games with the girls; early mornings with the grandparents while the parents slept in; and lots and lots of hugging, cuddling and play. It was a great week and we really enjoyed our time there!
