Trip To TN...
In mid October, we went to Nashville as part of Amos' fall break and to celebrate my birthday! Abby, Bethany and the boys also made the trip home, and Uncle Jesse came over too. The weather was still quite warm so the kids got to be outside alot. They loved running around and playing with the dogs.
To celebrate my birthday, my mom made her signature egg and sausage casserole, and I was sung to, first thing in the morning. She also made one of my all-time favorite dinners: roasted chicken, stuffing, peas and white gravy. It was so good! And for dessert, homemade carrot cake. It all was so delicious. And it was so wonderful to be home, with my family, to celebrate my birthday. After dinner, my brother and dad did a bonfire and we had a little get-together. Again, it was so much fun to just sit and hang out by the fire.
For the rest of the weekend, we were outside, hanging out, playing, taking it easy. I loved it!
A few weeks before our visit, my dad found a talking Darth Vader mask.
All in all, we all had a great time being together!

Pumpkin patch...
One day, after school, we got invited to go to a local pumpkin patch, with friends. This place had it all: a hay stack to climb on, a petting zoo, dune buggy bikes, a bouncy house and a pumpkin patch. We took a wagon ride out to the patch to pick our pumpkins and all found the perfect ones! At the end, the kids got to climb a combine which was so special for them!
And despite our kids' rotten moods (they were probably hungry!), Nathan and I had fun and hope to go back!

Halloween...
This year, our family got into the Star Wars theme for Halloween. I found pumpkin stencils, put together costumes and even found Storm Trooper candy for our little storm trooper to give out.
We haven't gone trick or treating in awhile, but we were invited to a few parties, so we put on our costumes, carved our pumpkins and had fun giving away candy to our neighbors. Amos started the whole thing with wanting to be a Storm Trooper. So since he had a gift card from his birthday, we got him a new and legit costume! The rest of us got stuff from the thrift store and it all worked out well! I made Flannery's Yoda hat and it worked out ok. Thankfully, I had the hair to be Princess Leia and my dad found an awesome talking Darth Vader mask and let Nathan use it. We really had alot of fun dressing up. It'll be interesting to see what happens next year!
