The end of an era.

Just over five years ago, Amos entered the world and since then, we've been together most every day. When he went to preschool, last year, I felt as if the end of our era together had come. But, as we went through the year, we still had a few days a week to be together and, preschool just seemed less serious, overall. Looking ahead now, it seems that we really are entering a new season of life.
Tonight, we visited Amos' new school, found his kindergarten class and met his teachers. His entrance into the big wide world is more real than ever and I don't know that I'm ready for it.
I know his teachers are great and that he'll learn alot. I know that he'll love being with old friends and making new ones. I know that he'll be reading and writing soon and will have tons of stories from his day.
I guess, since I can't trust the world with my sweet son, I'll have to keep trusting God with him. After all, he's more powerful than I am and will protect Amos much better than I ever could.
