Mommy and Daddy's get away!

Last week, from Thursday to Saturday, Nathan and got to go on a retreat with the other elders and wives from our church. The setup was great: great food and wine, great location, great friends AND no kids!! (At least not ours!)

We had a blast! We got to drive for six hours with another couple without any crying or screaming and suprisingly, it went by really quickly! We spent the day driving up to Ludington, MI where The Palapa is located (Mike and Julie Berend's cottage on Lake MI). When we got there, dinner was on the stove and there were yummy drinks to be had. We were all so excited to be there together.

While we were there, we worshipped together, laughed, cried, ate amazing food and drank amazing wine. hung out and did nothing, kayaked, walked on the beach and more. One of the many highlights was getting fly home on the plane owned by Mike and his friends. What a treat to make it home in one hour!

It was an awesome and refreshing weekend and I feel so thankful that we got to go on this trip!
