Happy 11 months!

Today, Flannery is 11 months and 2 days old. I can't believe it's almost been a year since her birth. The older she gets, the faster the time seems to go.
Little Laney has grown up so much in the last month. She's started to take a few steps while holding onto something, or "cruise." She's crawling on all fours now and is getting increasingly bold and curious. She has emptied out the tupperware cabinet and has opened the drawers in the bathroom. We are really going to have to step up security now!
She loves to try to put hats on or any other piece of clothing. She started blowing kisses last night and loves to wave hello, goodbye and goodnight. She knows our "names," Ma ma ma, Da da da, Ba Ba Ba--Mama, Dada and Brother.
Her two front teeth came through right before Christmas, and now, she's getting the teeth on either side of them. Teething continues to be an unhappy event, but we get through it!
She's increasingly showing us that she's left handed, which is amazing, seeing as how children don't favor a hand until after two years of age. But she eats, claps, and plays left handedly and when she was playing with the Magna-Doodle today, she was "writing" with her left hand.
She's increasingly becoming aware of our family life, of talking and playing with us. She watches all of the activity swirl around her and sometimes, gets in it.
And, as you can see, she has acquired quite the collection of overalls, which have proved to be helpful. They are heavy duty for her crawling and also fit her and her cloth diapers well.

I feel like the older she gets and the smarter she gets, the more I fall in love with her. I feel like the more relational she gets, the more I bond with her. She feels more and more like my daughter and it's so encouraging to feel like I'm finally getting to know her and love her as the little complicated person that I'm sure she is. She's our daughter, after all.

Here we are at one week after Flannery was born and 11 months after she was born.
Love this girl!
