Last week, we got our first snows of the winter. On December 1, we got the first dusting, which seemed quite appropriate!

Both kids still have coughs and runny noses (does it EVER end?) so we just went out for a short snow walk, with Flannery in the stroller for (in theory) additional warmth. Amos stayed out and played after she and I went in and of course, had a blast. I finally had to lure him inside with hot cocoa!

And then on Saturday, we got another few inches of snow and again, we had so much fun. This time, Daddy was home to play with Amos and they had fun throwing snow balls, building a "snowman" and playing with the sled. Amos' most favorite thing to do though, is to dig in the snow. Shocking, I know. He loves to dig and in the winter, is so excited when it snows enough for him to dig. The problem is that the cold weather makes his cough worse, so he can only play out for a short time!

Also on Saturday, we also got our tree up. We got the lights on but had to stop short of decorating because we thought we needed more lights. So stay tuned for the tree-decorating post...
