Week three brought GrrMama back to see us; more recovery for me and our first trips out together (not counting the doctor appointments we've had.). Having my mom here was immensely helpful. We got to sleep in most mornings, as she would get up and watch cartoons with Amos; she did something she loves to do: cleaned our house and did laundry; she helped me figure out what to do with a newborn at home so soon; gave baths and played out in the snow with Amos. But it was mostly great having her around just because it's so much fun to hang out with her, to laugh, to dance and just be together. She loved all of the cuddle time she got with Amos and Flannery; we're not sure when we'll get to see her again!

Our trip to Target was pretty loud and chaotic...Flannery decided she was hungry in the middle of shopping and started screaming. Because she pretty much won't take a binky, there was no way to plug her screams. After we regrouped, I ended up in Starbucks, feeding her. We then went for lunch and then to Trader Joe's and things were better. Still, she doesn't really like her seat or being in the car, so the ride home was loud!
Nathan and I got to go out for Sushi on Monday night. It was amazing, so tasty and fun to get out.
We said good-bye to my mom on Tuesday, which was bittersweet. We loved having her here and Amos was quick to miss her after she left!
Last night, we got Amos to bed and found ourselves hanging out on the couch together...a rare occurence lately. I was awake and Flannery was asleep, and Nathan noticed her scrunched face on my shoulder.

Things are starting to feel normal around here. Aside from being so tired, I think I'm getting the hang of caring for two!
