Three weeks to full term!

We've officially hit the 34th week and suddenly realized how close we were to full term. It's funny to feel that way, given our history. I mean, she could come at any time and yet, I have a growing confidence that she'll be a full-termer, and maybe even come late!
This time around, experiencing the third trimester has been both a challenge and a delight. I remember Amos being *so* active in the womb, and while Baby Sister is not as active, she still has her moments.
She likes to punch my intestines, when facing to the left and likes to stretch her legs out when facing to the right. Occassionally, it'll seem she's trying to adjust and will just push with her
knee(s). And of course, she is most active when I am trying to go to sleep! All of this is to say that when any of it happens, my reaction is "ARGH!!" and then I have to remember, "No, this is good...we want her to be moving, and still be inside, not outside!!" It seems that I have this attitude-adjustment conversation with myself multiple times of the day!
In fact, I am always going back and forth, wanting her to be here so we can see her and get to know her, but since we did that already, we know we don't want that yet!
Other fun times include heartburn before and after eating; constant overheating; waking up from sore hips from sleeping on my side; general muscle achiness (I really should do my prenatal yoga!) and of course, difficulty bending over and putting on socks/shoes. Because of that last one, I've worn my Chaco sandals almost non-stop unless I absolutely have to wear my boots, because it's soooo cold outside!
In realizing just how close we are, we've begun to make our preparations (again, I feel silly that we didn't do this earlier, but I haven't had the expectation (thankfully) that we'll have another preemie and so I've been pleasantly surprised by the time creeping up). I am getting the packing list together, getting out my birthing books, recruiting Amos help and so on. Needless to say, we are getting really excited.
We are blessed, most of all, by how everyone has prayed for us and walked with us (from near and far) for this new life. It's amazing to think of how much love and care this little girl has already recieved and again, we can't wait to meet her!
