How does our garden grow?

Not sure yet, we'll have to wait and see!
So far, we're watering our herbs that are in the ground: lavender, thyme and sage. And I have yet to put the rosemary, basil, parsley and cilantro in pots. But Saturday night, as I was making dinner, I got so excited to run out and pick a few leaves from my herb plants for dinner, so it'll be a great summer of eating!
First, we pulled out most everything in our front beds. Because I forgot to take a before picture, we'll have to use this picture from last spring, to help get the idea! (Isn't little Amos sooo cute?!?!).

Then we took a week to figure out what to plant and then on Mother's Day weekend, went and bought our herbs. The ones we put in the ground are supposed to do well through the winter and come back next spring, so we'll see about that! They were soon planted and now, we've been trying to keep them watered.

Of course Amos enjoyed the whole thing. Digging and playing in anything that he can dig into is a huge source of joy and amusement. So when the digging was officially done, we kept it going for him by making his own little tupperware of dirt. Needless to say, it was also a safer option, as he wanted to be in the middle of all the action, right where Nathan and I were digging with the big shovels!
