My parents were able to make a visit, earlier in the week. All of my mom's January ladies had their babies early (my mom even did 3 births in 24 hours--a record!!) which gave my mom some much-needed time off. We prayed and prayed for this time and were so glad that they could come and visit!
They arrived Sunday afternoon as we were busy getting the house ready for our Fall Creek neighborhood dinner. Amos was shrieking and dancing excitedly at the door when he knew who was on the other side! They were so helpful in playing with Amos and helping us get ready to host the Redeemer families that live close by. After dinner, we sang happy birthday to Himanshu, our student from India, and then did the traditional dance to the Beatles' Birthday Song. I could tell if folks had fun or were weirded out, but we had a great time!
Amos was elated that his GrrMama and GrrDada were here and immediately put them to work as his playmates. They were happy to oblige! There was also alot of cuddling going on, something we do not take lightly around here! There was much mirth, running and ball playing; I slept in three days in a row, thanks to a GrrMama who would rescue Amos from his bed earlier than I would have! I also got to get out with my mom, while Dad babysat and with dad, while Mom babysat! We had fun putzing around town, looking for fabric and furniture, respectively!
All in all, it was just so great to have them around. I loved our conversations, joking and general hanging out. And I didn't want them to ever leave!
Hopefully we'll all be together again, soon!

It looks like you guys had a great time:)I love it when my folks visit too, it's just so sweet isn't it. We get so much joy just watching our folks play with our kids, I pray that we get to play with our grandkids like that! Your Mom is so pretty, I can see where you get it:)A dancing birthday song to the Beatles?! What are you subjecting these poor Indian kids to?! Can you imagine what he's going to tell his parents back home:)Blessings!
