A few days ago, Amos got a haircut, complete with the haircutting cape. He did a great job and sat really still.

Yesterday and today we've been getting out. Yesterday we walked around our neighborhood and collected leaves, maybe for another leaf project. We walked down to the school a few blocks away and hung out at the playground for a few minutes. There was a row of really trees with really red leaves. I tried to get Amos in the picture but he rebelled. Oh well!

And today we explored Holliday Park, its playground and hiking trails. After we "drove" for a few minutes on the playground and then we found a cool deck to walk and play on that was out in the trees. Amos found a small twig branch to sweep the leaves with. The lighting was so amazing, so I tried to snap some decent pictures but Amos was soooo interested in sweeping leaves that I only got a few good ones! After that, we hiked down the hill on a path that led us down and around to the river. There were neat little bridges to walk over, with creeks and waterfalls to notice on the way. Amos, the water baby that he is, pointed out every babbling brook and wanted to throw leaves into them. When we arrived at the river, Amos swept the water with his branch and threw rocks into the water. We had a blast. It was so beautiful out--warm but not too warm and very sunny. We missed our Dada, though--I was wishing we could've been all together on such a beautiful day!
