This week has been so busy, it's gone by so fast! Saturday night, after being back for a little while, Amos got his tools out and immediately got to work, fixing things around the house. He got hats out for he and Nathan to wear while they worked! We also talked over Skype on camera, with Beth, Dan and Elijah. During the course of our conversation, the very active Elijah fell asleep!! It was so cute to watch his little eyes close! I had to try to take a picture--it was so cute!
Sunday was a good day, beautiful and warm. We went to church, showing up late from still getting into the swing of things. It was our first Sunday to worship in the gym since the sanctuary is getting a facelift. It reminded us of being in the cafeteria at Ballard High School, with Green Lake and it was all a bit strange. We also sang a few songs we haven't sung in awhile and that had me in tears from all of the memories!

Another funny thing about Sunday: that morning when I was getting Amos dressed, I pulled out a green shirt. He pointed to it and said, "brrm, brrm?" meaning he wanted to wear his other green shirt that has a dump truck on it. I pulled that one out and he nodded yes. I was astounded!!
After a good lunch and nap, we decided to go downtown for dinner and a hang. We sat outside at Qdoba and Amos really enjoyed watching the motorcycles come and go. He did so well sitting in the booster chair and being such a big boy! After dinner, we walked around the "circle," which is the big monument in the middle of the city. It is so massive and beautiful and the fountains were going, which made it cooler. So we enjoyed walking up and down the steps and seeing everything. We ran into the Pfeifers, who have two small children that Amos enjoyed running around with, and then, we went home for bed!
While we were out, Amos started coughing again, really hard. His cold had all but cleared up and so the coughing had us worried that he had been exposed to too much smoke out there. We got him home for a breathing treatment and medicine and got through most of the night. Amos and I were up at 5 the next morning, for a breathing treatment and snack. Poor guy was really coughing. After falling asleep again, he continued to cough and coughed really hard all day. So much so, that I called our pediatrician friend to see if I needed to take Amos for a chest xray. We decided that since Amos was still breathing ok, no retractions in his abdomen and no wheezing, we decided to hold off on going to the emergency room. I continued to give Amos medicine and breathing treatments and realized later in the day (after an especially loose diaper) that Amos is teething and is coughing from a really overally runny nose. He doesn't seem sick, otherwise. So, we've been dealing with that, all week. Tuesday and Wednesday have had decreased coughing, each day, but it's still really intense. Thankfully, Amos sleeps well, exhausted from such hard coughing!

We've had good therapy appointments this week. On Tuesday, Hannah said that Amos is really catching up intellectually, it seems, and that he still just has trouble with communication and some gross motor skills, but overall, is a quick learner and picks things up fast, when he wants to!
Yesterday, our appoinemtn with Christine was less smooth, with Amos really acting like he was teething! Thankfully Nathan was here to be goofy and help us get jumping, stepping and kicking done. Those are our skills to continue to work on as we're away and we'll try to practice in fun places like the park.
Last night we had friends and their kids over for dinner, and tonight we plan to get together with another family from church. We are starting to really want to have people over and are finding it easy to do, having Amos in his house and free to play! I'm not sure of our plans for the fourth and look forward to prepare for another trip, back home to see family and our good friend Darci get married. Can't wait!!
