Amos has officially come down with a cold, something we're not thrilled about.
Last night started rough then ended quietly and well. We put Amos to bed, only for him to wake himself up coughing which led to throwing up.
After that all was settled, we got him to sleep in his own bed, and then went to sleep ourselves. Around 2:30, he woke up coughing again and I gave him more medicine then realized that it was too early for that!! So we called the on-call nurse at Riley and they said he would be ok but that we would have to wait 12 hours before we could give him more medicine. Ugh! My first thought was, "This should be interesting!" But I think God heard our prayers and Amos has been coughing minimally (which has been helped by breathing treatments) and has a minimally runny nose. So we'll wait awhile longer before giving him more cough medicine.
This morning I had a Mommy date: I took a trip to our old and familiar two-storied Target, in Northgate. Beth and I used to meet here regularly to turn a mundane errand into hours of walking, talking and browsing. I loved being there and remembering meeting Jen Gay, there, too, where we'd feed our babies as we ate at the food court!
Tonight we get to have dinner with our old neighbors, Dan, Laura and Luke and with the Richards, who live in our old house. I don't know how ready I am to go to our old street and house, yet, but I guess it'll have to happen sometime!
And yesterday we surprised Rick with a bike-riding birthday party that ended at a beautiful park with BBQed chicken and a jam session with the musicians from church. It was a perfect day to ride, cold and windy! We all had our long layers on and I think the wind may have contributed to Amos' cough. We had a blast, though, and Rick loved every minute of it!

Now I'm keeping up with you too! I like your prayer list on your blog. Great idea. I might steal it from you.
