Still waiting...in TN!

Today at the last minute, we decided to head to TN, even though Beth's not in labor yet. We decided to go ahead and make the trip so we could spend the weekend with our family. If she doesn't have the baby by Monday or Tuesday, Nathan may return without us and we'll stay behind, hoping Elijah comes before the end of the week. But Beth's contractions are coming every 10-15 minutes and are getting a bit stronger over time. It's been a full day already, a trip to Target, lunch, packing and departing around 2:30. Nathan finished his work and I packed the car. Amos took a late and shorter nap and by the time we reached Bowling Green, threw up the snack I had just given him. That explained his fussiness preceding the vomiting and was happy to eat his snack shortly after getting cleaned up. As we got closer, Amos starting barking, in anticipation of arriving and seeing the dogs. We were pretty impressed with Amos' memory. He was excited to see everyone and enjoyed playing with his new gardening toys and lawn mower. We had a late dinner of various grilled meats and Amos amused us all with his singing skills. My sisters were singing too and in his attempt to sing with them, he sang the only song he knows, Twinkle Little Star, over and over and over again. I enjoyed it, but I think everyone was hoping he had other songs in his repertoire. He had a quick bath (after mowing the carpet) and was off to bed, very tired and ready to sleep. We're enjoying being here, waiting for the baby to come, being together.
And as I sit here typing this, my Mom, my sisters and I are sitting around the table laughing hysterically, making Bethany have contractions, one after another. So we may keep her going to get labor started! We're all pretty tired, too, so we'll have early bedtimes, I'm sure, in case we have to be up later! :)
