dancing the night away.
Tonight we ate spicy Thai food and danced our little tails off, hoping to get Beth's labor going. She had some tough contractions here and there but no labor yet.
We've had so much fun being together while waiting for his arrival. I cannot imagine being in Indy right now, waiting for my phone to ring. Even if he doesn't come for another two weeks (which is possible, but not preferrable) being here this weekend has been so wonderful. Every night is like the night before Christmas, where you go to sleep wondering what will happen overnight and if there will be a baby in the morning. The air is that thick with anticipation.
As I mentioned before, we had awesome Thai food (Beth added spice in hopes of getting things going) and then came home ready for a dance party. We danced and danced, Bethany showing off moves we have never seen a pregnant woman do. We danced for a long while and finally had to take a breather. We put on some jazzier dance music and enjoyed doing various shoulder dances while Bethany worked her hops on the yoga ball. We laughed and laughed and kept saying to Beth's belly, "Elijah, show your face!"
Later on, Nathan and Dad rigged up a computer monitor and the stereo to Nathan's laptop and we watched the finale of The Office, which everyone else missed, on Thursday.
Beth and Dan have gone to bed, with high hopes of getting rest and being woken up by contractions and labor. I am praying for that too. I guess we'll see what happens!
