Amos...7.25

This summer we celebrated Amos' 7th birthday and before we could blink, he's already 7 and 1/4!

For his birthday this year, Amos wanted a birthday party that included costumes and an epic battle. We invited lots of his good friends, devoured pizza and cake and then the battle ensued! Amos put together a costume and was so excited and happy to have everyone there to celebrate with him.

Amos is growing up more and more. With every year, and even as the months pass, he shows more maturity, responsibility and independence. He is still very caring for his younger brother and sister, is excelling in his Lego building and is doing great in math. He doesn't really like to write so much, as I have come to figure out that he is a kinesthetic learner. Reading is coming along, but it helps that we use magnets to build words and sound them out. He is doing really well with our homeschool group and its classical curriculum that we learn through memorization. He is still as active as ever  and for our schooling, I've been trying to do as many things through experience as well as being outside and doing lots of "PE" as we do through our workbooks, etc.

It's been so great to be in this season of life with him, as he's growing into being a KID. He's such a great kid and we love him so much!!
