Over the last weekend in April, Nathan and I got to go up to our favorite cabin on The Lake with some of our most favorite people. Our church's leadership and their wives all gathered together for a weekend without kids with great food and fellowship. It was a much-needed break for Nathan and I and for the first 24 hours of our trip, had a great time!
We got to fly up early, on Wednesday night, with a few good friends, eat, drink and be merry while we awaited everyone's arrival on Thursday afternoon. As the rest of the crew arrived, our trusted friend Jeremy, who was caring for our team back home, called to inform me that Levi had been screaming and crying the whole time he was awake, since we dropped him off, 24 hours before. At that point, it became tough to have as much fun as possible. We were kind of stuck up there, without a way to get back home quickly so we were thankful when a few other trusted friends at home stepped in and took Levi to hang out with them. For the next few days, we would have fun but would miss our kiddos and by the time Saturday rolled around, we were ready to be back with them. All in all, it was a good trip, and we enjoyed being away with friends and each other!
