Oh my, poor Levi! He definitely has the least amount of coverage on this blog! Oh well, such is the life of a third child! ;)
He and his siblings were sick during the week of his birthday, and for the next month. When he turned 13 months, we actually celebrated by having a Hostess cupcake with a 1 candle in it. That was about the best I could do, given our limited space and resources right now! What's important is that we did it AND got pictures!
In the last few months, Levi has gone from being our sweet baby boy who crawls around and tries to keep up, to our almost-toddling boy, who wants to get in there with his brother and sister and rough it up! He has started to stand up without holding onto anything, has figured out how to shoot a fake gun (which is so funny!), and is very communicative, including throwing fits, which is also really funny! I know, we'll have to nip it in the bud soon, but for now, it's funny and interesting to watch him react!
He is so smiley and happy and gets does well playing by himself. But when he's sad or tired, can be very intense, only wanting to be held by me. We recently went on a retreat and left the three kids with good friends. Anytime Levi was awake, he was screaming his head off. After the first 24 hours of this, another good friend went and rescued him and for the remainder of the time, Levi was in more familiar settings with other moms! He's such a little stinker!
Some more of Levi's favorites are: swinging at the park, dancing to whatever music he hears, drinking water (he doesn't like milk yet), snacking on granola bars, bunny crackers and tortilla chips. He loves to wrestle on our bed with us and the kids and again, loves to shoot us with the little orange plastic gun. He loves sitting with Amos and doing Legos. Surprisingly, he doesn't put them in his mouth! He also loves going up and down the stairs and seems to be able to do so without falling. We've turned his carseat around and being the extrovert that he is, loves sitting with everyone and watching everything.
Of course, we love our little Levi and can't wait until he's walking and talking...the kids love playing with him and are looking forward to him interacting even more!
