But before we got on the road, we said goodbye to GrrMama and GrrDada who had stopped to stay the night on their way back from Detroit. It was great to see them, even for a little bit!
So this year, the lake was crazy crazy windy so we climbed to the top of a very large dune, and hung out in a little area that was surrounded by trees. It wasn't nearly as windy up there and we had a great time hanging out with friends from church. When we ventured down to the beach, we found that it was too cold for the kids to swim so Nathan was the only one that went in! There were lots of other kids and people to play with and of course, the sand was super fun!
And as usual, it was great to be up at the beautiful Great Lake!
