Oh my goodness, Amos is 5!

We have had a great day. Amos woke up this morning and immediately reminded us that it was his birthday. I hope he lives to be 1oo because celebrating with him is so much fun!
We spent the day preparing for our guests. Honestly, having people over is the one thing that motivates me to get this place whipped into shape! Amos helped me clean his room and then helped me make the cupcakes. The kiddos also helped by taking good naps so that I could get more stuff done. By later this afternoon, Amos was ready to go again, first to swim lessons and then back again to have his party.
We had friends over, ate pizza and cupcakes and then went to a big green yard nearby for a big water balloon fight. Everyone had a blast! We came back and everyone got ready for bed and watched a bit of "How to Train Your Dragon." The six kiddos went to bed around 10 and fell asleep around 10:30...we are hoping for a quiet and restful night!
It was great to celebrate another year of Amos' life. He is healthier and stronger than ever before; is more and more creative each day; has a sweet and soft heart; is growing in intellect, asking questions and learning new things constantly; is just an awesome little guy--I love living life with him.
