Time for another renovation...

...because apparently, we feel the need to change that places that we call home.
Our first house endured many a remodel...who could forget the kitchen redo right before we moved? (We were crazy for doing that, but now our good friends have an amazing kitchen!). And, I would have linked to that blog post, but it isn't there! In all of the craziness of remodeling a house and moving across country, I didn't do the post. But, I found the pictures. So maybe someday soon that'll happen! ;)

And then, right after we moved into our current house, we thought it needed a functional and hospitable third floor, so yep, more construction ensued!
So in an effort to actually finish this post, I'll not try to hunt down all of the links to refer you back to previous posts. Instead, I'll post pics of the project as it is happening and again, maybe someday I'll go back!
Without further ado:

Taking out the downstairs shower and transforming that space into a "mudroom":

Upstairs, we moved hte toilet out of it's cubby (behind a coat closet that opened into the hallway) into the bathroom and tore out the closet's back wall and then filled in the wall to completely close in the closet. The closet is our new laundry room, on the second floor!! We'll put a stackable washer and dryer in there. Needless to say, I'm really excited!!

Week one was loud and dusty, but it wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been. The kiddos actually napped just fine and the dust was not bad either. THe contractors are so nice and have great attitudes. There's been alot going on behind the scenes...some plumbing and electrical stuff to do.
We're excited for week two and hopefully, things will be done by the end of the week. It's even more exciting to continue to be making this house feel more like ours!
