That afternoon, we all said goodbye to Nathan who had to go back home to work, as he was to preach that Sunday.
Grandma Sheehan arrived that evening and the little boys got to open birthday presents from Aunt Pati.
That night we enjoyed a yummy steak dinner from Joel and missed Mom who was at a birth. :(
Bethany enjoyed Macaroni and Cheese again and a fun time was had by all.

After dinner, there was a fly-swatter guitar jam session. Amos found one of Mom's musical cards and he and Joel played guitar while Dad played dj (i.e. held the card open!). It was minutes of entertainment for us all, especially when Amos would yell at the end of the song!

The next morning, we all enjoyed the front porch. I made a yummy bagel with cream cheese, dill and cucumber from the garden and enjoyed every last bite!

It was Aunt Pati's last day at our house so we enjoyed our porch time and even posed for pictures in our pajamas! Amos moved his toys outside and enjoyed his new toy from Aunt Pati--a dumptruck AND bulldozer in one! Soon it was time for Pati to head home, so we had pictures and goodbyes and were so glad that she came to visit us!
And then it was nap time for Amos--he enjoyed reading a story with GrrMama, with both of them curled up in his little toddler bed!

As for the rest of the day, we kept things low key. We had a few rounds of squige, our favorite family card game (that half our family loves and half our family hates!!), had a toast in honor of the fallen Steve McNair, bath time and put the patriotic quilt on the floor for fireworks viewing on the tv. Yep, we have no shame staying out of the rain and watching fireworks on tv! hee hee!

It was a good day--great to be with family, as usual!
