Our TN trip: Getting there and welcoming Beth, Dan and Eli home.

This time I'm going to show our trip to TN in installments.

We arrived on Tuesday, June 30, to be able to go the airport early on Wed morning for the Robbins' (hopeful) arrival. For the drive down, I bought Amos some Moonsand, which is a new kinda sand mixture that's very fun to play with! He spent the last two hours of our trip bulldozing and dumping his Moonsand, so we declared the idea a success and were happy for a quiet few hours.

Amos immediately wanted to play outside, after our arrival to the Meeksarosa. He said hello to the dogs and then had a jam session with GrrDada. It was funny and awesome, of course! We felt bad for Amos, too, as he had no idea what was going to happen the next day. We tried to prepare him and he was familiar with Beth, Dan and Eli from video chatting, but still, it was going to be a bit of a rough time for him.

The last time he saw Elijah was last July when Eli was a baby. Amos didn't have to share any of his toys or space, although, I think sharing his parents and grandparents was tough enough! So on the way to the airport, we told Amos that Eli was coming and that he would have to share his toys with him. But again, it would be a bit tough for Amos to always have to share his toys. Oh well, we knew it would be good for him!

Wednesday morning, we were up early and were very excited to see our family again! We called the airline to make sure they were aboard their flight and when that was confirmed, we raced to the airport. We literally waited for about 5 minutes and then they appeared. As soon as she saw us, Beth started walking really fast and met Mom, who went past the "No Entry" sign for hugs.

Mom was happy to be with both of her grandboys!

After the airport, we headed to the Loveless Cafe for breakfast. Since Bethany already had her Starbucks, we didn't have to stop on the way! :) While we were there, Dad ran back to the airport to pick up mom's sister, Aunt Pati, and they soon met us there. Sadly, there are no pictures! :(

When we got home, the boys headed for the toys and Amos emptied out his supply. There was soon a double interest in the big crane, so GrrMama had to sit, play and referee!

Beth and Dan managed to stay up all day, with the help of some caffeine, and we rounded the day out with a good wrestling match on the floor! We were soo soo thankful to have them home with us, safe and sound. It was a day we had been looking forward to for a long time!
