Fun weekend with GrrDada

Last weekend, my dad was in and out and back again on his way to and from Michigan for a wedding. We had him for two nights last Thursday and Friday and then again on Sunday afternoon. We had a blast as usual and really really missed GrrMama who was at home in TN, waiting for her lady to have her baby.
On Friday, we tried to go to the zoo but it was closed for a fundraiser (which we were NOT happy about!). So we saw the butterflies instead which was the zoo's idea of consolation for the rest of it being closed. But it was very anti-climatic, as Amos was quickly tired of small things flying around him. We strolled through the gardens which were also nice, but not as good as cool animals. After dinner, we strolled around Broad Ripple with a yummy chocolate malt and then fed the ducks leftover Matzo bread from our Passover feast.

We said goodbye on Saturday morning to GrrDada and then he joined us again on Sunday afternoon, during our lunch at an Indian food restaurant. At one point, Amos had a good angle and asked for the camera! It was fun to help him take a picture...he's following in my footsteps!
While Amos napped, we sat around the living room on our laptops, yucking it up. We laughed at our ability to be "relational" as we all sat on Facebook, leaving comments and such. It was a good time and after Amos woke up, Dad got on the road for TN.
