It seems like only yesterday that little Elijah Forrest Goodnight Robbins entered the world. The week leading up to his birth was a magical time for our family. We were all together, hunkered down on the farm, waiting for him to come. All we had to do was hang out and wait. So we shopped, danced, ate, played, walked and enjoyed our time together.
Beth's labor was emotional and overwhelming (mostly for us watching), smooth, well paced and well executed. Elijah's birth was a definite happy ending to the night and a well-received blessing! He was the most loved in the room at that moment! We praised God for a wonderful homebirth and were joyous overall, in our sleepless states.
And even though Beth, Dan and my mom had to make a trip to the hospital afterward, we were still thankful that everything went well and that we had a new wonderful, healthy, baby boy in the house.
We love you, Elijah and are so thankful you're in the world!
(I saw from Beth and Dan's blog that yesterday was the big day and wanted to get in on all of the action! Love you guys!)
