Before we went to TN...

..my parents came to visit, Amos got Orthotics and we figured out how not to owe much money!!
First, my parents stopped by for an hour on their trip home from Lake Michigan. They stopped at a Salvation Army in North Bend and hit the used Notre Dame wares jackpot. Amos loved seeing his GrrDada and GrrMama again and clutched them, crying, as they tried to leave.

Before they arrived, I had just been on the phone, fighting to find out how much we owed for Amos' medical bills over the winter (people here are just NOT helpful) and Nathan was running around town, trying to figure out why our Escrow bill was suddenly so high. Thankfully, I found out that our insurance was finally going to pay our bills and that we could be put on a payment plan for the next year to pay off the deductibles, and that our Escrow bill is simply because they did not save enough for our tax bills. We can cancel Escrow and do it ourselves, saving a ton of money and still not owing anyone anything!
On Thursday, Cindy and Belachew came over. I gave Cindy a haircut and Belachew and Amos played well together. At the end of the visit, they played guitar together and had a blast!

On Friday morning, we hung out with Liz and Atlas. We took a walk together to a park near their house and again, the boys enjoyed playing together. I forgot my camera, though, and didn't capture the two swinging together!
Saturday morning came and Nathan's departure time was quickly approaching. He was planning to spend time with his family that weekend and was going to rent a car to drive to TN by himself after lunch. As I thought about the weekend without him, I decided, at the last minute, to pack Amos and I and to go with him, to see our family, too. We got it in gear and left a bit later than we wanted, but still got on the road in time for Amos to sleep awhile. Before we left, Amos painted a birthday picture for Grandpa Joe, using his car again and asking for all three colors! He's a smart one!
