LEAP DAY!!

Well, it's here, the 29th day of February. I wish Amos was old enough to learn how to LEAP so we could LEAP around all DAY, but alas, all I can be happy about today is the fact that he's starting to walk around on his own!!!!!!!!!!! That's right! Today on more than three occasions, has pulled himself up and walked back and forth from one thing to another (usually me!) without us standing him up and encouraging him to walk! It's like a switch has gone off and he's finally starting to get it! I am soooooo excited. I am really anxious for him to walk, as it will make life easier and more enjoyable, especially when we're out and about. Plus, he's been acting so much older lately, and has been learning so much, that I am excited for him to walk as a true reflection of his maturity.
He's really grown up this week, falling asleep and sleeping well, eating cereal and milk with a spoon (pictures to come soon!), playing with puzzles and bathing without his bath chair (again, pictures, pictures) that it seems so appropriate that we can add consistent and motivated walking to his repertoire.
So today at Target, I tried to find some better fitting shoes for him and managed to find little Target crocs that fit his feet and are lightweight. We'll see how he uses them! Also today, the weather has been quite nice and this weekend is supposed to be nicer. So that's exciting! We are hanging out with little Alea Vanden Brink tonight, as her family is in town for festivities with Stephene's family. They brought her over earlier this afternoon and we had the pleasure of hanging out and catching up. So far it's going well--she and Amos play well together (in between all of the getting-used-to sharing-with-each-other!) and while Amos is napping, she and I are watching vintage Sesame Street dvds--the best kind!
