Well we celebrated Amos' achievement today by going to a movie! Since we babysat for the Berends last week, they offered to take Amos for us this week and we chose to see a highly anticipated film, There Will Be Blood. And, it was amazing, awesome, thought provoking and worth every penny. It's been a year and a half since we've been to the movies, without Amos, together, and I'm finding that even watching movies at home is difficult. So much so, that a) if we're going to plan a time to watch a rental, hopefully it'll be a good one and b) I'm not as excited to watch movies anymore, as they are longer and have to be paused if Amos wakes up...thus taking longer to get through them, so (back to my first point) they better be good!!
Amos did well with our family of sitters, crying for a few minutes at 6:15 (almost two hours after we had been gone) and then out and out screaming at 7:23. We got the call as we were walking out of the theater and raced to pick him up. He did really well, being mostly happy for about 3 hours, without me!!!, and if it weren't for the boulder of a molar trying to poke through, he may have gone longer.
This morning was beautiful, waking up to a blanket of snow and all day, it lightly snowed or flurried, with the sun, poking through.
We have had a busy past week (sorry for the lack of posts) and Amos, as usual, as added new tricks to his repetoire. So, more on that later. For now, we are glad that he's another month older and enjoy him so much!!
